School Dinners

Our catering staff are motivated and committed to providing good quality food for our children at Lyons Hall Primary School. We provide good healthy and nutritional home cooked meals on a four weekly menu cycle for our pupils at a cost of £2.00 per day.

The fresh food concept is evident in many ways including the popular salad and fruits bars, chilled water, milk and fruit juices are available daily from our new drinks dispenser and the increasing uptake of meals taken is increasing weekly. The food is freshly made with menus that give a healthy diet for all. We offer a friendly service so the pupils and staff can enjoy the eating and social experience.

We at Lyons Hall Primary School believe food not only has to be delicious and well presented, it has to be healthy too. That is why we try to use locally produced, seasonal produce, as part of our respect for the environment and we also only use free range eggs in all of our cooking, we even use food grown from our school allotment where possible.

Every meal served at Lyons Hall Primary School is fully nutritionally analysed and meets the Government Food and Nutritional Based Standards.

The Catering Team was also recently presented with a 5 Star Award for Excellent Food and Hygiene Standards.

Fresh Fruit and Cream Meringue

There is an alternative choice of a jacket potato filled with cheese, beans or tuna and mayonaise or a baguette filled with cheese, ham and tuna and mayonaise and salad from our fresh salad bar.  All meals are served with a cold drink or orange, apple or milk and water is freely available.  All our meals are prepared with fresh ingredients daily in our kitchen.  This menu may be subject to change at any time.  Some recipes may contain nuts and fresh eggs.  If you child has any special dietry requirements please do not hesitate to let us know.
